I saw that several days ago for $1500, but thought it looked like a basket case, so I passed.

I own (am current caretaker of…) Rear Admiral Thomas Perry’s DH twenty gauge, 28 inch, Damascus barreled Parker.
Perry was the commander of the US Naval fleet in the Caribbean during the construction of the Panama Canal around 1912. It is a wonderful little gun that has taken grouse and woodcock for me. If it weren’t for a previous ‘caretaker’ shortening the stock it would still have the SSBP… instead of the beautiful leather-covered pad I had done by Abe Chaber. .

One of the Errata Sheets for The Parker Story shows that the 20-gauge Damascus barrel GH column should be --

Thanks for that Dave. Those are still pretty low numbers in my opinion.
I think that gun would clean up nicely. But now it's someone else's project. |

Shame it didn't work out for you. A project for sure, but a worthy project.

Considered yourself lucky. As bad as it looks outside, more than likely the bores are pitted & this would have been a money pit.
