Parker 20 gauge GH 28 Inch Damascus
9 Attachment(s)
Well, I thought I bought it yesterday, that is until I looked at my email today and I had a notice that the sale was cancelled. Apparently, someone bought it in the business that was offering it. The TPS says that there were only a few they found that were made in this grade. I hope someone here was the person that did get it.
Here are some pictures of it. No serial number was cited or shown. X X |
The "few made" is an error in the Serialation Book". There were "many made".

I saw that several days ago for $1500, but thought it looked like a basket case, so I passed.

I own (am current caretaker of…) Rear Admiral Thomas Perry’s DH twenty gauge, 28 inch, Damascus barreled Parker.
Perry was the commander of the US Naval fleet in the Caribbean during the construction of the Panama Canal around 1912. It is a wonderful little gun that has taken grouse and woodcock for me. If it weren’t for a previous ‘caretaker’ shortening the stock it would still have the SSBP… instead of the beautiful leather-covered pad I had done by Abe Chaber. . |
One of the Errata Sheets for The Parker Story shows that the 20-gauge Damascus barrel GH column should be --
24" 1 26" 145 27" 3 28" 249 30" 49 31" 1 32" 3 Total 446 |
low numbers
Thanks for that Dave. Those are still pretty low numbers in my opinion.
I think that gun would clean up nicely. But now it's someone else's project. |
Shame it didn't work out for you. A project for sure, but a worthy project.

Considered yourself lucky. As bad as it looks outside, more than likely the bores are pitted & this would have been a money pit.
