Well, the combination of Covid, Spousal Units 60th B'day, getting RIF'd from work had the Pretty Wife and I finally going back to the Southern this year. We had plans to attend but as usual Man Plans, God Laughs. December was a little busy for us as my MIL did the Dead Right There in the living room for X-mass. Wail up to Peoria from Alabama and do X-mass with FIL and attendant funeral prep. Get through that and experience a little bowel discomfort after prime rib dinner. Shoot over to the ER and 4 days, 5 scans, many shots of morphine and emergency surgery pulls a softball size tumor out of my deep pelvis. They also got 2 feet of small and large intestine and other entwined stuff. Positive for Large B Cell Lymphoma, Stage 4. Next stop is chemo city, I will have round 5 next Friday. They say chemo is a war and they are right. The next 2 years will tell the tale. If I make that then I have a good chance of passing the 5 year mark. Only the Big Guy Upstairs knows for sure.

I hope you all have a very good Southern, the Boys shoot well tomorrow and win the Trophy and I will see y'all next year.

Keep the faith, Michael, and know that you’re not alone. Be on the lookout for gratitude. A little dose can produce lots of healing.

As a Marine Corps friend of my said "the only way is through" and to paraphrase the Buds candidates "the easy day was yesterday."

I'd like to thank our community for the unbridled support and the multitude of prayers. It is greatly appreciated.
