Default Doug Mann passes

Not sure where to put this, but many folks knew him. This was posted on the Custom Gunmakers Guild Facebook page:

We are sorry to announce that Professional member Doug Mann passed away during the evening of June 17th. Doug was very well known in the world of double guns and he was a long-time admirer of Lefever shotguns. He was also an expert stocker of vintage British single shot rifles.
Doug served the Guild in numerous positions, most notably as Secretary and as a BOD member. He also was the stocker on the Remington double shotgun raffle project of several years back, and he also assisted as a volunteer on several raffle projects.
At this time there is no information about services. We will keep you informed as information becomes available.

RIP Doug...

Never met him but I knew of his wonderful reputation.
Another one leaves us... and we are again diminished.

Doug rescued me from a great Prussian Daly that needed a more talented hand than I could ever find to do the restoration. I finally got to meet him at a Vintagers meeting several years ago. What a guy.

Another great loss to the Double gun world. He took care of an issue on a Daly combination gun barrel for me.
Also did a leather covered pad on another gun.
Really nice and talented guy.
