Hi Unregistered,
On July 29th, this site will be moving..! No, really - it's "moving" to another physical location - including servers, gateways, routers - everything - including my coffee cup...
So, from the date of July 29th through July 30 or 31 (shooting for these dates, but - as always, I'm at the mercy of my ISP who has to install the lines to the new location - and we actually get them running ;) ). But - this site, cloud servers and main web will be OFF LINE.
Now, please save these dates!! Please - don't be "that guy" who emails me on the 30th to tell me you "can't open the Parker Website". I'll already know it is offline - and also know that you are "that guy"...
I'll take this notice up and down over the next week or so - and leave it up during the final few days before shutting it off on the 29th..

Belgium Replacement Barrels
Can anyone help with the history of the replacement barrels on my DH 12ga - 30"? From what I have been told, the original Damascus barrels were replaced with modern steel to handle today's loads. Of course, I would love to have the original Damascus barrels and it's been a pet project trying to hunt them down. The serial number is 89665. I keep dreaming the barrels are sitting in the corner of someone's basement.
Anyway, what bugs me about my current situation is the lack of markings on the topside of the replacement barrels. The typical area for the stamping / engraving is bare! Who would do this??? There are some markings on the bottom side that gives clues so maybe someone has come across this before.
Please see pictures for reference. Thanks!

I've seen a few (three or four) Parkers with those barrels. One was a CH 12 and another was a CH 20. The CH 20 originally had 30" Damascus barrels and the CH 12 originally had Bernard barrels.
