I answered this question to the best of my knowledge yesterday but my response has disappeared.
There are many stamps on Parker Bros. barrels that we don’t understand the meaning of… the E may just be one of those. I don’t know of any barrel used by Parker with an E designation stamp. .

I see that E Edgar but the fact remains that I/we have no idea what it indicates.
Most likely the mark of a barrel worker. .

I agree there are many stamps whose meaning escapes us. I was only pointing out that your previous reply didn't 'disappear', just that you missed it.
