Default Received my letter today

Thank you Chuck.

Seems my 'new' VHE 32" VR was completed in 1937, for the grand total of $171.35!

By Chucks research:
Capped pistol grip ✓
Trap model fore-end( beaver tail ) ✓
32" with VR ✓

However, the stock dimensions from Chuck do not jive. DAC 1⁷/⁸ DOH 2¹/⁴ by the letter but I measure 1⁹/¹⁶ and 1¹³/¹⁶. The stock does have the serial number stamped on the lower tang inlet. I know this could be a later stock, the fore-end color and figure match so maybe a new set of wood was done? The fore-end is not serialized.

Also, someone mentioned that this configuration might be 1 of 18 or 20 made, how can I find that info?

Original Parker Brothers stock & fore-end would be serialized.

Yes I know. As I said the stock is serialized but foreend is not. If this wood is original the book dimensions are wrong or someone had new wood made for it in the past.
Someone who has seen lots more wood stamped could probably tell if the serial number used the correct style of stamps, I suppose I could compare to the sta.ping on my other VH, it is older so might not be the same style...
