Reminds me of an incident when I was about 12ish. My mom was in the hospital, my dad was in his office drawing up plans for a home. It was around noon and I figured I’d help out by preheating the oven to make a pizza. I smelled smoke and opened the oven and to surprise there were flames and smoke. Ran back and got my dad. He came out and extinguished the fire. I forgot mom would store her Tupperware in the oven. OOPS!! I turned it into a melted blob of plastic. Lesson learned. Always check the oven before turning it on.
