the leaf spring (part #38) is about 10mm in length and has a round top with a hole in it to allow is to be secured with a screw. The leaf spring appears to have been made very hard (hardened) and has two very critical bends in it.

This came out of #213xxx but my back up to it #211xxx has the early single trigger in it as well but with a different spring design to achieve the same effect.
Only 2000 #s difference but with two different early trigger designs. Must have been alot of design modifications going on to get it right until they decided to go with the two screw version that JP Hayes designed.
