Harold I use the MEC600Jr in 28 and it's surely finicky compared to a 12 but no big issues once I get it set up (crimping and so forth). I had to disassemble the unit and file it to make it slide smooth, it was MEC quality control. I wouldn't be afraid of it, but it was not as easy as a 12 to set up. In regards to your question I have NOT had trouble with resizing the 28 and I shot it out of a 28g Parker Repro (sold it at Ernies thank the Lord) and a Benelli Supersport 28g semi auto. The Benelli feeds them like candy to a kid in 2 3/4" They both chambered well and dropped right in out of the MEC600, the Repro is another reason I will never buy another single trigger SxS.
