Hi Unregistered,
On July 29th, this site will be moving..! No, really - it's "moving" to another physical location - including servers, gateways, routers - everything - including my coffee cup...
So, from the date of July 29th through July 30 or 31 (shooting for these dates, but - as always, I'm at the mercy of my ISP who has to install the lines to the new location - and we actually get them running ;) ). But - this site, cloud servers and main web will be OFF LINE.
Now, please save these dates!! Please - don't be "that guy" who emails me on the 30th to tell me you "can't open the Parker Website". I'll already know it is offline - and also know that you are "that guy"...
I'll take this notice up and down over the next week or so - and leave it up during the final few days before shutting it off on the 29th..
John D.

Sometimes, I wonder....
Over the course of time, one accumulates tools for a variety of purposes in life. Of late, I have been purchasing a few tools to accomplish improved maintenance and aid with some recent restoration projects. One recent purchase was a set of brass/nylon/aluminum tipped punches. The tips screw into a steel shaft. Not an expensive item but I thought I would baby the Parkers and not use steel punches on any pins.
So what am I wondering about??
I wonder what the State of California knows that others do not. They seem to know more than any other, or at least they let us all know what they know.
Clearly printed on the label attached to the plastic bag holding 6 steel shafts, 3 brass tips, one aluminum tip and two hard nylon tips was the following:
WARNING: This product contains chemicals known to the state of California to cause birth defects or other reproductive harm.
I suppose that must be the hard nylon tips. Who knew? Is that same warning on pantyhose?
Fortunately, we are beyond caring about reproductive harm. I won't let any youngsters play with these dangerous pin punches.
Cheers,
Jack
