Were stocks graded down for non symmetry? (ie fancy on one side, plain on the other)?

That always seems to be the problem when you case them John ,the Better side always seems to be the side that goes down ! The Picture I posted on Page one of this thread is a Late Remington , 1/2 Frame 12 Gauge D Grade and in my Opinion Both sides are more than suitable but I think this is more of a Remington Era thing than the earlier Parker Guns ! Of course just my opinion !

We generally see "non-symmetrical" stocks on Grade 2, 1, and 0 guns but not so much on Grade 3 and higher.
