I am not sure how much it will effect the value but surely it will. Any time you alter an original it will knock the price down. and I am not sure what you mean by spacers.

I just reread your message, did they sleeve the barrels to a 28 ga. and with the

barrels cut off two inches is there a space between the barrels at the end.

I would think that the value would be affected considerably.  Who ever put the sleeves in, did they do a good job or can you remove them and use the gun as 16 ?

If she's got paper to prove that Parker sleeved a gun down from 16 to 28 I'd say that might enhance the value a bit actually. I believe that might be the first ever found of such an animal.

Could be chamber sleeves, could be barrel sleeves.  What's the serial number?  Frame size?

What by chance was the serial number stamped on the CHE  frame?  I've been looking for a particular SN  for several years that was sold new in Los Angeles in 1905.

Van, where in CA is this gun located?  I'd like to take a look at it if distance is reasonable.  Thanks.

The grade marking would be "4", a bogus set of barrels would probably have no frame size marking.  A C Grade 16 with no barrels has value.  Post pictures and/or the serial number for more information.  Measure the exact distance between the centers of the firing pin holes and post the result and someone will tell you what frame size you have.

Not exactly. 69350 is a Bernard 16/30 ( thankfully not the one I've long been looking for but its another destroyed 16 Bernard)  and A436854 isn't a Parker number.
