At least your priorities are not misguided, Rich. However, I saw a VHE .410 Skeet at the Southern that that looks suspiciously like the one I was outbid for at a PA estate auction several years ago. The bid that won the gun was $11,000.00. It was offered for sale at the Southern for $47,000.00. I am very happy to use mine for skeet and preserve birds.

Bill
Who had that 410? Not that I am interrested ,but like to watch which dealer is overpricing the most.

The $47995.00 one is listed on the Galazan web site as "the world's very best Parker .410 skeet gun".

The one I examined at KTP about three years ago was easily in as nice condition but had a PG instead of SG. The asking price was $39K but that's not the price it went out the door at.

Well, Dean, how about sharing that "out the door" price with us. I could use new tires on the Suburban.

There were quite a few "tire kickers" on that VHE and it was at KTP for a long time - probably because there was so much buzz and discussion on the originality of it - which certainly is understandable for such an investment, however, I don't know the "out the door" price as I was not the buyer. I could use new tires on the Suburban. I thought you sold the Suburban when gas approached $4/gal ?

If I could afford the .410 from KTP, I could also afford to buy my Suburban back.

If y'all think that price was too high just wait a minute and it w'ont be. There are just so few out there.
Just My Humble Opinion, George

I recently missed a heavily field used VHE field gun, just what I was looking for. It was on a show table. When I returned a little while later to talk about it, it was gone.

They are scarce and expensive thats for sure and I would pony up the cash in a nano second if it was at all feasible.
I'm haveing two guns restocked one of which will hopefully be completed by the weekend and a huge taxidermy bill looming on the not so distant horizon so my discretionary funds are pretty well allocated. NO money for yard work .
I was once told by a well known dealer in fine firearms that its A) easier to buy a gun than sell one and B) It's easier to sell a $5k gun than a $20K gun. Sound wisdom but perhaps he wasn't aware of the mistique of the Parker 410.
