Dean, thats the nicest thing anyone has said to me all day:D:D:D. Invest with me and I'll give you visitation (in MI only) and write you in on the will.

It's a lot of money for a gun....so many Parkers so little cash.

Just got home and was hoping someone else delivered the news.  Congratulations to all members of both teams and especially to the L.C. Smith team for a fine competition and well deserved win, shooting some extremely tough targets.

#3 far right is Allan Swanson, not Art.  I'm on the far left.

I'm sorry to say I didn't witness John Truitt's astounding 28X30 in the Challenge qualification round because I was shooting on John's squad.  Congratulations (again) to John and Carl on their outstanding performances.

In the fourth picture Dave posted on page one of this thread is a 12 year old boy who I was privileged to shoot next to. I did not get his name but this young man shot an 18 on a course that humbled many much more experienced shooters. It was great to see him as well what seemed like more than the usual number of female shooters participating in these events. Congratulations to the Smith Team and hopefully this will be good motivation to practice up for next year. Also I would like to thank Mark and everyone else who worked hard to make this event happen.

Larry,

The young man you were inquiring about is Edward Blake.  He is a fine shooter and will some day surely be the Parker Champion.

There where very few high grade Parkers for sale, the nicest I saw was a late Remington DHE 16 ga, vent rib, beavertail. lots of CC but that cyanide blue and overpriced. There were several nice VHE & VH 20 ga guns that were fairly priced and one went home with a friend. Overall less "collector" guns than is years past.

In the spirit of the Southern I attended a gun show and adopted a rifle as I have bought at least one gun on each trip to Deep River. I also came face to face with my Holy Grail of Parkerdom a VHE .410 skeet configured gun is wonderfull 100% original condition:D. Now what about that second mortage:?.

I don't think I can sell enough blood for the payments on a 410.....perhaps a kidney?

Where can i sell a kidney????

:D

The coveted VHE 410 still resides with the current custodian:(. I must be getting old as I'm haveing a hard time justifing that much money (not that its overpriced) for a 410 that will see some use on the skeet fields and on preserve birds.

I have some other projects that require my immediate funds, two are Parker related:) so its not like I'm wasteing my hard earned dollars on putting in a yard or other drivel.
