Mushroom spots/grouse coverts - Nope - I like you guys, but... We haven't met and, well, you know...
Snow is off the flat ground, but still in the woods, or where it was pushed up this winter.
Deer all over anywhere they think they can find food - particularly in front of my corn pile

You boys are killing me with the talk of morels, I've not had one in years.
Just heard from Chuck the pigeon man, he's got another shoot planned.
Couldn't come up with enough birds for another 1000 bird go round but he's got 400 and to add to that is going to do 8 pheasants per gun.
Cost is a little more this time because of the pheasants $160
If any of you Michigan boys are wanting to go let me know and I'll give you his phone number so you can register.

Nice white morels...is that 10 bore the turkey slayer....morels/turkeys/trout fishing are synonymous with a good time in the spring.
Missed you and the smoke belching 16 bore today.

Yes it is. It would have been with me a week ago, but I have only 10 RMC cases for it; not enough for target work, unless you guys would wait for me to repack them. It is very effective on high crossing shrooms. Attached Image (viewed 165 times):

Nice bird and equally nice Parker to go with it. I'll pass on the well groomed lawn however as it takes much needed time away from the clays course . I miss my house in the woods .

Schedule is out now for the Lewiston Club. Saturday and Sunday for Clays, 10 AM until 3 PM. Let's do it!

John lets try to set something up. I think a sat would work well. Perhaps I can entice Eric and Dave to go, we can stay at Eri's place in TC shoot Lewisston on Sat and Manton on Sun.

Guys,
Paul is in good shape and would have no problem sprinting up and down them hills. I am up for a shoot in Lewiston only if we stop at Tally's for a burger and a Beer. They have the best burgers in Northeast Michigan. Destry and others I can put you up for the weekend provided I am here. Lets try an organize a shoot.

A little something for John to get his blood going. .30 cal double deer rifle, light and a person doesn't need a gun bearer like some of those double rifles. Attached Image (viewed 90 times):

Looks like I will be going to the UP shoot in June and Bill Bolyard and his she who must be obeyed Noel Curtis will also be there. Maybe we can get a good crowd. The Michiganders convinced me although its a 13 hour drive for me and I coulda been in Wyoming by then. I suppose I need to find a nice Marlin for the bolt action sporting clays event, at least that's what those fellows tell me that I need to shoot. Bruce Im sure I can locate a Mossberg complete with polychoke . You can play with it on the side events but remember it is a SXS event.
Bring LOTS of shells. Last year I shot 12, 16 & 20 and went through a case and half of 20's alone .
The Holywood gun will be completed in a couple of weeks and she's sure to make her debut shoot in dah U.P. Eh.
