I assume this club is in Michigan, but you wouldn't know it from the website.

Bill - Freeland is between the major cities of Saginaw, Midland, and Bay City, MI.  You know - hold your right had out, palm facing you.  Freeland is about at the first wrinkle left of the junction of your thumb and palm.  FWIW, Freeland is home to one of the great auctioneers in the midwest - Marty Wegner.

Freeland has a nice Sporting Clays course. The event combines SC, skeet and 5 stand. Its a fun shoot.

I actually met John yesterday for a burger and beers at Miller's Bar in Dearborn. He's a fine fella, has some good stories too. If you meet him be sure and ask about the $300,000 Remington Model 3200.

If he'd put down his fishing equipment for a week end and go to Freeland we could all meet him and ask about a fine shotgun. Paul

Never knew I could get "dissed" so badly for sitting quietly on the banks of the Au Sable

Mr. Dallas, your last reply was rather jabberwocky when you wrote " dissed ". ;) You seem to be the perspicacious type; so please accept our invitation. Paul

Perspicacious?  Does that have to do with sweating?  I don't sweat too bad for a fat boy.

Will not be able to make the shoot on the 11th.  Does any of this crowd shoot clays at the Lewiston Sportsman Club?  Really a nice track

As for Lewiston, do you have the EZ-Go to haul us around with? I hear it's a pretty hilly and long course for walking. Especially us "Fat Guys" ;)

They have golf carts for rent.  It is hilly, but really a beautiful course with a lot of variety.

John,

I would love to shoot the course in Lewiston. Eric has a "cottage" near Traverse City and we will be planning a weekend of shooting so perhaps we can meet there. Do they shoot on Sat by chance?

Hilly ? HILLY ? It's built on a ski resort. But it is very scenic- just a bit of a walk on these tired old legs. Paul

Don't have the schedule in front of me, but I believe they shoot on Sundays and Wed, once the weather breaks.  As soon as I see a specific schedule, I'll post it.

A burgers and chili lunch at Tally's in Lewiston is a must.  Adult malted beverages are also served

Hmmmm....John, are you going to take us to your best mushrooming spots after shooting and a beer??? ;)  Or, would you like to get out at first light so the out-of- towners don't follow us...?? There is probably still snow in the woods up that way.

Kurt
