Some foul on a BH 20 floorplate that look as they may be done by the same hand as Bruce Day's very fine CHE 20.  If my memory serves, which it does only about one half the time...

I'll bet that engraving is somewhere around the 68000 range, tell me if wrong.

Gil, the SN is in the 90xxx range.  It is not pictured in TPS but is listed on P 606 as a show gun for the Pan American Expo in 1901.  Along with four other 20's.

Thanks Tom.

Dave, I agree, sure beats the 4, circle flying boom-a-rang-a-regulars!

Tim, That's a beauty. Do you have any shots of the sides. Congradulations on a great gun.

A wonderful gun Tim. I take it that the barrels are fluid steel replacements for the original damascus?  The early SN would generally indicate damascus although I think some had Titanics about that period.

That is a gun you can lay on the coffee table and look at all evening long.

Added:

I see now, its on TPS p616 as SN 90,592, a BH 20/26, Tit, straight stock.  Very nice. The Titanics were just coming in then.

Thank you for correcting me on the page Bruce, not only can I not sjpell, but I can not remember what page in TPS that the gun is on. :?   Oh my, oh my oh my oh my.  I am going to chain the gun to the pole in the basement so that I don't misplace it...  is this a sign of old age?  I'm turning the big 50 this fall and I think that everything is going all at once.

Thanks Larry.

Ha! You ain't seen nothin' yet!

Dean (60)

Oh, by the way, That is a wonderful BH. . .  and upon further investigation (the Parker Gun Identification and Serialization book which is on the coffee table beside my feet - TPS is in the other room, sorry) it appears that you have the first Titanic barreled Parker made in twenty gauge so get that information in to Austin for the "Parkers Found" column in Parker Pages. Congratulations Tim!! Dean

Dean, thank you for the info.  I knew that it was a very early Titanic but did not know that it was the first 20ga.  That's a sharp eye!  A very young 60 I might say.

And Dusty, the Canadians have overtaken the summer home up near Bellaire.  I need help setting up an anti-honker fortress.
