Guys, when we were researching and writing TPS we ran across information that Parker was experimenting with the half frame on Trojans (Yes, Trojans) in 1928!  The serial numbers were in the 226xxx range. There were at least three of these guns. Parker often used the Trojan for experimental purposes to minimize material waste. I do not know if any of these guns were ever sold----but if you happen to pick up a really light 12 Trojan check the serial number and frame size!!!!! Another treasure hunt for us!!

12 gauge Trojan #226,709 was an experimental gun sent to John Olin, probably for testing at Western Cartridge.  Maybe Parker Brothers asked Olin to see whether it would take the abuse of many Super X shells.  Was this part of the Model 21 comparison testing?
