Craig;
Great looking dog. Gotta love those black labs. Are all you Foxes broken or do you just happen to like the way those Parkers handle in the field?

Craig;
Meant to ask what loads you are feeding the old Parker. You'll have to bring your pup and a Parker or Fox to hunt some Chesapeake Bay honkers and ducks one day.

Daryl: No the Foxes aren't broken, as you know I caught a slight case of the Parker bug (versus the Fox disease) and like taking them hunting. The Fox collectors are having a waterfowl outing next week up here in the Finger Lakes region----everyone is using a Super Fox. As Austin Hogan has written guns should be fun.
I must say a #2 frame Parker with 30" bbls in 12ga with full chokes is about as nice a duck gun as you could ask for, perfect weight for a duck gun for over decoy work.
I handload #5 bismuth 1 1/8oz, it is easy on me and hard on the ducks----I have used this load for years in all my12ga vintage SxS.

I would love to hunt the Chesapeake Bay

We had a huge push of mallards today with the cold front on Monday---get ready they are headed to the Chesapeake!

Craig;
That's my favorite load. I've been using it since they dictated steel so I bought 20lbs. from Ballistic Products way back when and also use it quite effectively on geese in my first barrel, 3's in the second barrel. You welcome anytime down here as are your northern mallards.
