Hammerless Parkers have one piece hammer and firing pin.  In one of the original Parker advertisements, it was touted as a fact that Parkers could be dry fired with no risk of breaking a firing pin.  

It is said that of all the Parker spare parts available, their hammers are greatest in supply because they almost never break.

Hammer Parkers should only be dry fired using snap caps.
