Default The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly...

A photo from a recent visit to my club; took along my Parker SBT (obviously the good), my 16ga A Grade Fox (which I guess on this board would constitute the bad) and my little Stevens .410 (marked 5100 but which Researcher pointed out in a thread on another forum is a Stevens 530, and which most folks would agree is the ugly)...

Let me first issue the disclaimer that I am not a trap shooter by any definition, and shoot clay targets only in the hope that it might help me hit the occasional bird come fall, but for the record: I shot the .410 very poorly, the A Grade some better even from the down position, and the SBT best of all. I would report the scores, but my card has, unfortunately, been misplaced... .

PS: I admit to making this same post on the Fox Collectors board, with guns in slightly different order .

I can't remember the exact amount I sold my .410 5100 for last year, but it was north of $1000.

You know, I was thinking today: all they would have had to do is round off the edges a bit, and they could have marketed those old Stevens .410's as round actions !

I like all three. I have a soft spot for the old Stevens small bore guns. North of a thousand is about the highest I have heard of one going for. I guess collectors are starting to take notice.
