Default Single Traps at the Southern

I think I covered the display and sales tables pretty well at the 2022 Southern but don't recall seeing a single trap of any manufacture all weekend. Does anyone recall seeing any single barrel treasures?

I saw an LC Smith SBT. I believe it was Josh's table but I am not sure. That was it for the American made ones and I was looking too

Fox traps are as rare as always, and oddly, Firetower Doubles didn't seem to have any Ithacas to display. My friend, Swindle, had a great selection of Lindner Daly doubles, but no singles.

Now that you mention it, I remember one Ithaca. It was hiding on one of the vertical racks

I saw the Smith, and two Ithaca SB traps. One was on a vertical display, another on a table had a zip tie around it to prevent opening and it was worn and may have been off face. There was nobody at the table and it was near one of the displays with a pickup backed up to the tent, tailgate down with a lot of empty gun cases in it, if that helps. I think the price was $2,200. That was Friday AM early.

[QUOTE=Bill Murphy;362389] Fox traps are as rare as always

Couldn't agree more, Murph! An unmolested Fox SBT is a veritable TREASURE!
Rarely do they come out to play except for special occasions like this one at Hausmann's a dozen years ago. Remember when?

You are correct Bill, I am sure there was one or two, but I do not recall seeing them.

I’m questioning the need for three Parker SBT guns . Heck two of them I’ve not shot yet .

One for singles, one for handicap, one as a backup. ALWAYS have a backup.
