Blue dot was the only powder I could find locally. I'm loading 7/8 oz shot, 21 grams of powder, Winchester 209 primer. just have loaded one box that I'll shot at the club on Sunday. We'll see

Allen, unless you have found a published load for this please hold off shooting those until you find some thing that will let you know pressure for this. Blue dot is in my experience a heavy load or steel shot application and i will look through my books to see if that is a good application.

All i can find is a 1 oz. load that uses 21 grains and pressure is in the 10 thou. range.
Try Heritage in Warwick Ri they are very well stocked. |

Dan, that is basically the recipe i am following except loading 7/8 oz not 1 oz. I have plenty of loading tables from the various powder mfgrs

The reduction of shot load in a published recipe should bring that load down into a pleasant 8000 to 9000 psi range. By the way, they are "grains", not "grams". Good luck.
