Default Shot sources

I can find no local lead shot and was told the stores are unlikely to restock(ever) due to low demand. Is there a consensus best choice if the only choice is to buy online. Shipping seems to be a killer.

The cheapest and most reliable source i have found is the 2 clubs i belong to. Both order clays and ammo and one distributor also has shot, powder and wads. The other is walking distance from a distributor and they bring it over to ship with the clays order. Both priced in low 40 range.

If you are referring to mine it is a suggestion to go through a club ordering system, if he belongs to one or have a friend who does do it for him.

Aaron,
Try rotometals.com, I used to order my shot from them. I used to order the reclaimed shot and paid the extra price for the washed and graphited. If you get the regular reclaimed it is very dusty and dirty. I have been making my own for the last three years so I don't order from them anymore.

Eagle brand hard shot was available last weekend at the Northeast SxS in PA. $50. per bag out the door. I would think shot could also be available at the Vintage Gunners Cup at Hidden Hollow in PA a little more than one month hence. If you (or a friend) will be there I suggest you post that intention so that gents will bring some, at then prevailing prices.

We still have 6 bags of shot in the shop left over from the Northern SxS. Still for sale but one needs to come pick it up, no shipping.
