Only the wood is missing from the fore grip. The number is 69754 and there is a V for the letter. There is also a number 1 on the metal where the wood fore grip would go.

the forend wood can be found or made- not a real big deal. How about the "no trigger" question and what is the condition of the bores? pictures of the gun, with close ups of markings and the areas of concern will really help.

The bores are not pitted inside a little dirty they are not rifled but have smooth lines. the serial numbers match the barrel and the trigger mechanism.

reproduction butt plates are readily available
a Parker Brothers gun is a shotgun, so there should be no rifling

I'msorry im meant to say the barrels are smooth inside and have the lines in between the barrels on the top of them. What do you think the cost would be, even if it was 5%?

$400. However, we are confused by the information that the serial number is accompanied by the letter "V". Can you explain exactly where the V is located if you can't post a picture?
