Your gun is a VHE, not a VH. The VHE (E for automatic ejectors) is always factory marked only with the VH, don't know why. The 4-3 signifies a barrel weight before final striking, as 4 pounds, 3 ounces. The gun seems to be field used and complete. It probably works just fine and will be of interest to shooters. Canadian prices seem to be lower than US prices but can't give an estimate.

12 gauge VHE guns on a 2 frame do not typically command a high price unless in pristine condition. The ejectors do add value but the broken butt plate will detract a little. Put it on Gun Broker with a starting price of 1 cent. Put a reserve price of $2000 on it and see what happens.

You're in Canada like me,a 12 boreVH doesn't command a great price in the USA even less up here ,if it's in great shape ,good screws, tight action and solid wood you'll be hard pressed to get 500 for it

Good morning, appreciate your help for the old guy selling it for him. It looks to be a very serviceable piece and should give a new owner many years of a classic shotgun so be proud of it and I hope it brings a fair price
