There's nothing "lowly" about a 16 gauge Trojan!

Whoops... that's Dave Suponski's Trojan 20.

But then there's Jamie's 16.

Truth be told, a Trojan of any gauge (12, 16 or 20) is about the most practical gun anyone could own. It will break as many targets and bag as much game as any graded gun of any make.

I really like 16 ga. Just seems versatile to me. I grew up hunting with 20 ga. VH of my Dad’s (probably my favorite gun ever in my hands) and I don’t know which ga. I really prefer. I’ve never really needed a 12 for the type of hunting I’ve done.

I haven't gotten the hang of posting pictures, but I tried to post a picture of a pheasant taken in Ohio with my daughter and same Trojan 16 a long time ago. If the picture doesn't show up, I'll post it again.

My young daughter, now a mother, helped me bag this pheasant around 2004, again with the Trojan 16.

Time flies, but wonderful moments like this stay with us.
