To me, its easier to accept a human death from "old age" than it is a dog's. Its like the human knows its coming but the dog really doesnt. Very sorry for your loss of a great friend.

So sorry for your loss. It's the one great pain of being owned by a dog, but far outweighed by the gift of love and devotion we get from them daily during their brief lifetime.
