Default Vickers Steel Barrels?

I've noticed this PH has been for sale on GunBroker for months and months now. Anyone own a Parker that's been fitted with Vickers barrels?

Atlas Arms in Chicago offered replacement barrels for Smith and Parker guns using tubes made by Vickers (England) and fit and finished by Armaf in Belgium.

Some Smith and Lefevers were rebarreled by Armi Sarezzo and by one of the Bernardellis of Brescia; handled by a firm in FL named Hardin and Knight, but were usually Boehler steel.

You might ask Ed Good for up close in focus images of the barrel flats, and review his return policy.

Vickers make aftermarket barrel sets and they sleeved barrels as well.

I don't know if you are considering purchase or just asking about the barrels, but tread lightly in dealing with Ed1. Or quite frankly, dont buy anything he is peddling.

I was just wondering if I was missing something, it's been almost continually listed on GunBroker since last fall and the price seemed fair enough. I actually emailed the seller a few months ago asking if he had more pictures.. Got a email back, "no, no more pictures" uh, ok.

All of Ed's guns sit, and for good reason.

And i am not at all surprised at the response.

And how do you know the price is fair? There is a reserve.

Yeah, fair enough, I guess I don't know. Maybe a lot of people have a similar opinion of Ed as you do.

Kirk,
Ed has been tossed from this forum and many other forums as well. About the only one he is left on is the Double Gun BBS which is basically unmoderated.
If you want to get an idea of who Ed is, search on that forum and it wont take long to find what i am speaking of.

And for those who may think that because I am in the business means that i should not have an opinion about such things, too bad. I am trying to protect kirk.

I'd be one - but, of course - each dealer/gunsmith has their own idea of how to reply in public given a question about another business/individual in the firearms trade. You've made yours quite clear. As have I - except in private, until now.

Have a nice day,

The price is far from reasonable.
