Default Help with the chokes on my 16Gauge VH

Hello fellow members.
I received today the letter for my 16Ga VH Parker from Mr. Bishop. The letter states "The chokes were patterned RH 210 pellets and LH 210 pellets of size 7 shot in a 30" circle at 40 yards." What type of chokes would you suggest those are?
Also, were VH grade guns normally ordered by shops to be in stock or were they custom ordered by a specific individual?
Thank you in advance. BillK

Can't speak on the chokes but they were ordered both ways. An example in my VH 12ga ordered with 24" barrels, r- cyl bore, l-mod, LOP13 3/4" DOH 3"

The only way of knowing what your chokes are for sure would be to measure them. But at that type of shot count, i would guess it is Full and Full.
A large number of VH grades were ordered for store inventory. But i do not know if I woild say that Most were.

Tatham stated that their #7 shot was 291 pellets per oz. Assuming Parker used 1 oz. for testing, that would make the percentage slightly over 72% which is a light full choke. Looking at other pellet counts for 16ga. gun on that same stock book page, they were all in that range so it reinforces the full chokes because most guns Parker made were full and full unless the customer requested differently. There was 1 example of a 16ga. that was 160/210 which would be RH 55% and LH 72%.

The vast majority of low grade Parker guns, either hammer or hammerless were ordered by hardware stores or sporting goods stores. It's not until you get to D's and higher that you start to see individuals ordering guns. It's not absolute but that's generally the case.
