Default replacement stock

Hello everyone, I just picked up a VH from 1910 . The stock has seen some hard times. It looks like there is an old fix to a crack. I was wondering what would a replacement stock run, cost wise. Trying to figure if it would be worth replacing it or see if the stock could be salvaged.
Thanks in advance,
Harry

A proper restock will cost more than the value of the gun.

Yes, but isn't that frequently the case?

If a gun speaks to you, and you can afford to pay for a restock, then why not?

For what I see, damned few low grade Parkers will ever be true collectors items (unless they are small gauge guns in excellent original condition).

For me, I only want guns I love to shoot in my safe, and a well-stocked gun that fits certainly is a pleasure!

I was addressing the question that the OP asked about it being “worth” restocking.

Of course if someone wants something restocked, they should do it.

All he said was it was an 1910 VH. Perhaps it's an old VH 28.

I wish it was Edgar. It's a 12 ga with 30" barrels.
Thanks to all for the input.

One can dream.
Keep an eye out on Ebay, as stocks show up regularly. They may not be the greatest, but they might be better than yours. I bought a G grade from a member minus a stock, but it was a 32" gun. Not a week later a Monte Carlo Grade 2 stock showed up, and it fit very well.
