I agree with that. There are honestly very few shops that can do all the work at the very top level. I own guns I have purchased that are documented as done by one highly rated shop, and another that is completely documented as done by a different stockmaker, barrel guy, case color shop and engraver. All at the top level of reputation. I suspect that a lot of time, though, an owner shops it out and goes to one top guy and two or three average Joes. Guess who will be quoted in the ad?
