Default Parker Business Slow?

Is the Parker business so slow the Del Gregos are upgrading Fox doubles?

I'd be very surprised if someone came up with documentation from DelGrego that they did the work on that one.

The metal work definitely does not approach F level. Nice gun though.

The stock checkering is sort of late-style DE-Grade, the engraving is sort of early Wayne & Bristol Streets D-Grade and the gun has been stamped D on the watertable.

Default Fox upgrade

Whoever did that work was very good at their business. That's just beautiful.

I think we will be seeing more of this - sort of an indeterminate origin of wood / metal/ engraving & finishing amalgam by various (mostly unidentified) artists, all very good at their crafts. The finished products are a type of "chimera" which at once mesmerize and confound potential buyers: "Is it live, or is it MEMOREX"? In these cases, it provides to emulate the words of Marcus Aurelius, "In each and every individual thing, ask what is it in and of itself?"

Or it is much like so many guns that have been re-case colored, people just call it “turnbull”. When the gun likely has never been in NY State.
