Default MN Duck Opener Limit

Jim Beilke, a friend of ours and myself hunted the Minnesota Duck Opener this morning in South West Minnesota and we had are limit of 18 teal and back to the truck by 9:00 a.m. 17 of the 18 were shot by 7:30. Jim shot his 16 Gauge Trojan with 26" barrels and I shot my VH 16 also with 26" barrels. We were shooting hand loaded ITX and Bismuth shot. Are misguided friend was shooting a Benelli Super Black Eagle. Nobody is perfect.

This hunt was pure fun hunting a 3 acre pond in the middle of 160 acres of grassland prarie and scattered trees. We were where the teal wanted to be. I never get tired of teal. Thanks to Matt and Scott

Anyone who gets tired of teal needs to be checked out by a shrink. Those little dive bombers are intoxicating! Were they all bluewings?

I've never shot a Blue Wing. Lots of Green Wings and Cinnamon. My Father and his brothers always talked about the Blue Wings in Minnesota when they were growing up, but I've never seen one in Washington.

We don't get the Cinnamon teal in MN at least I have never seen one in over 60 years of hunting ducks
