Default Pawn Shop Find

After a doctor's appointment, I stopped by a local Pawn Shop. I spotted this Ithaca/SKB. It's a Model 600 Trap; 30" barrels; IM & F. Original pad. It didn't appear to be used very much at all. Clean, with perfect screws, with the Raybar sight. I made them a cash offer and after some sales stalling they accepted.

I could never find any serial number records for these guns. I did look through some Ithaca catalogs and from what I see they were introduced in 1966, with them switching to the silver nitride frame or receiver in 1972.

Should make for a nice pass shooting gun.

The clerk told me that a few folks had looked at it but passed because it only had 2 3/4" chambers. That's fine with me, I only shoot those or 2 1/2" anyway.

Those Ithaca vintage SKB’s were very nice quality. A sturdy black chrome finish on the outside and chrome lined bores. That’s a really nice trap grade gun you picked up. They are generally undervalued in the marketplace.

Nice find, congrats. Incidentally that's silver nitride not silver nitrate.
