Default Ducks

The ducks are starting to arrive along the Colorado River zone where I hunt. Managed a limit last night with a “new to me” grade 3, 12ga with 32” barrels and Boss shells. Great fun!

Best,
Brett

I agree with Andy — beautiful photo. Nature paints with a sure and sometimes subtle hand. Thanks for posting.

Gadwalls are usually great tablefare. I once slow grilled two, planning on having one for lunch and the other for supper. Well ............ let's just say I didn't have any left for supper. And ........ I didn't want any supper, either.

Thanks to all for the kind words. Hard not to get a good photo when the subjects are a Parker (or a Fox!) and a drake Gadwall.

Charlie, our duck shooting is nothing like it once was but if you’d ever like to come out I can guarantee a true wilderness experience in an incredibly beautiful place - and if things work out, some decent duck shooting.
