[Skeuse didn't contract for snap caps in Japan as far as I know, and any snap caps with the logo came from more than one source and should be considered original, in my opinion. There is no one out there today to dispute that. I will consider any snap caps resembling the posted picture to be original.

The CSMC offered PR snap caps appear to be original to my eyes. It has been my understanding that original Parker Reproduction snap caps were sourced in England and Parker-Hale was the manufacturer of them.

I purchased a set of 20 ga snap caps from Jeff’s Outfitters a while back. They were supposedly left over originals that were nickel plated. They look great and were $45, much less than CSMC…Not sure if they still have them…

I have 2 parker reproduction snap caps that came in the case of one of my repros that i bought. When dry firing them in one of my repros, one did not eject and was a bitch to get out of the chamber and past the ejector. I had a bitch of a time getting the one snap cap out of the gun. But finally did.
I'll be happy to give them away. I dont trust that at least in my repro this wont happen again. Just send me your name and address. Ill ship them to you at my cost. Merry christmas. |
