Default Top lever right of center

When the top lever is right of center on a well-used sxs like this one does it indicate wear or does the gun need a good cleaning?

On that particular Parker I think it needs waaay more than a good cleaning.....

The top lever could be stopping when it contacts that enormous non original hand screw.

That gun was likely tightened back up incorrectly and the lever position was not set. I have seen this before on guns that were “tightened back up”. But not to this extent.
