Sorry Mike, I think I misunderstood you. Here are pics with the old stock on. I prefer 1 3/8" at the comb and 2 3/8" at the heel, or close to these measurements. This is too flat and to clumsy looking. I like a slender grip.

Sorry again Mike, I just saw your last post. I can do it. I'm buried in others people's gun stocks right now, plus my full time job. I'll do it when I have more time. I even considered making it a POW or straight stock. I have the trigger guard to put on it.

It is nice. I'll take my time on it and give it a more desired shape!

You got a decent gun there and two shit pieces of wood ,warm up the house with the custom one put the one that's too small aside for a future project ....last decision is to get a nice blank and start over

Kinda what I was thinking,

That gun is worthy of a new piece of excellent custom wood

Chris, I like your thinking! If you come out to AZ this year to hunt Mearns, I'll bring the blanks down to Phil's place. You can fit and shape. I'll finish and checker! You did an excellent job on Phil's Custom!! A+

If I'm ever lucky enough to make it back to AZ with Phil, the only thing I'll be making is shots not sawdust !.... that's why they call time off
