Default T Wild 1890's

A british boxlock a friend sold me on the cheap to match my british lab.

T Wild 12ga ejector 2 3/4, 28 “ barrels. 6 lb 4 oz. Locks up tight. Choked SK/SK

From Roland Watson: Barrels are post 1954 and proofed twice, the last relatively recently, chambers altered to 70mm, probably why it was proofed twice. The action is much older circa 1890’s. Restocked at some point. Repair in toe of stock.

I have a Thomas Wild hammer gun I keep in the UK. It’s got 32 in barrels and 3 in chambers, weighs 8 1/2 lbs. Built like a tank. They are great guns. Enjoy yours.

Hi,does anyone know what value if any a T Wild SBS sidelock hammer gun is worth
This gun is a 27 inch sbs non ejector and has had a serious amount of professional restoration which includes resleeving both barrels and re proof, re blacking, restocking.
A gunsmith has told me the at today’s prices the work that has been carried out would cost circa £3750.00 but I think the restoration was probably carried out some time ago which I find a bit bizarre, why would somebody spend so much money on a gun that’s worth almost nothing now?

A friend has a sidelock T Wild hammer gun in very nice original condition that I shoot very well. I think he paid around $1800 for it. I looked at one for sale last year and they wanted $1950. Both Damascus guns.

Thank you Mr Nelson for this information, it seems to me that you guys have to pay a considerable amount more for your guns than we here in the UK as my T wild is only valued at circa £150.00 albeit in beautiful condition

Keep an eye on Guyette & Deeter auctions. Josh is placing some nice English guns in for auction, at pretty reasonable minimums. Of course, the final price depends on who is bidding and how badly they want it, but there are some nice guns I’ve seen in the past catalogs.
