Default Remington Help

I thought the Remington Serial Record Data had been giving to the Cody Firearms Museum however when I looked this morning on their webpage I saw no listing of Remington Information. Could someone please point me in the right direction so I may letter the Remington 722. Thank you

I dunno about Remington records I do however know that the Remington Society suggested to the powers that be that owned all the Remington etc records to send all the Parker stuff to Cody . And I was told that by one of the guys on the Remington Society BOD's .

This is straight from the Cody Firearms Museum - They do not hold Remington records. They are still held and maintained by the Remington Society of America.

***Here is an update for those interested. The RSA holds records that they have assembled over the years from members and visits to Ilion, New York. A good number of records to include Remington-Parker records are still at Remington in Ilion. The RSA considered sending them to Cody to be digitized but have decided against it. Mainly because they would no longer have access while this was being done. They are currently exploring other options.

Unfortunately, the new Remington ownership (Roundhill Group, LLC) has little to no interest in history or allowing the RSA to continue their research visits. Request inquiries by the RSA to visit and continue their work have pretty much gone unanswered.

The RSA has never supplied historical letters on firearms like the PGCA simply because they do not have sufficient records to grant those type of requests.

George "Scott" Davis - I sent you a private message with a contact who can assist you with your Model 722 question.

Hope this helps...

Alfred,
I followed up this morning with the email address you sent me and got immediate phone call which proceeded into a wonderful conversation with RSA person. I must admit I'm shocked/disappointed at how Roundhill Group, LLC isn't currently interested in sharing their records. I hope in my lifetime the complete available records for Remington, Marlin and Parker will be shipped/sold to Cody for historical research.
Thank you Alfred for sharing the contact information.

Default Papering Your Firearms

I know as a group the "Parker Family" has committed to papering our Parkers. I'd like to encourage everyone to "paper" all their guns, it's amazing what you discover/learn and it adds personal value/pleasure to your guns.

Happy Thanksgiving!!!
