The Black Diamond Model was not shown in the 1906 or 1907 Tobin Arms Manufacturing Company catalogs. It was introduced in this flyer --
Black Diamond Flyer.jpg So far your gun is the lowest serial number Black Diamond Model I've recorded. What is the barrel length for my table of observed Tobins? |

As Dave said, you've got a Black Diamond Model from 1908-1909. I just bought a 16 ga 28 in. bbl in the 7000 serial range from a member here and am very pleased with it. Dave, pm me if you want the serial number.

I wasn't sure if it was a Black Diamond. Shoots well, even has cast off. Thanks for the info guys!

There is a Frankentobin on GI now that appears to be a Black Diamond frame with all the other parts from a No. 45E Premium Grade serial number 8452 installed on it?!?

Good catch, I thought it was a pin. I thought maybe there should be a screw there?
