[TARNATION !!!]

This showed up today on GA. I'm just window shopping but it may be of interest to someone here. Pretty early history piece if it is correctly advertised.

You can find this gun and other Parkers on the site. The barrels on this one though have been cut.

I'm planning a visit to his shop next week.

Sean: Too bad about the barrels. Even so, it is the 247th Parker made from the inception of the company. I wonder how many of the prior 246 still exist?
Thanks also for the link. I will have a look but I really should not. Trouble with "window shopping" is every once in a while you can't resist and you know you really don't need another and so does the long suffering better half.

Long suffering indeed. My better half is steaming ever since I made the dining table my headquarters for the Parker I'm working on. Poor soul.

Indeed, if the serial number is correct this would be quite a piece of history. I'll take some pictures of the water table when I visit. Now that I'm an educated Parker owner. Not smart mind you, educated...

Jack ... There's quite a few Parkers with serial numbers lower than 247 kicking around out there ... I own #71, #90, #158, #210, #219, and just made a deal for #238 about an hour ago ... And I'm always on the lookout for other Parkers with two and three digit serial numbers ... I also own 2 Parker's Snow Civil War era muskets, 2 Triplett & Scott, Kentucky Militia, Civil War era carbines, and Meriden Manufacturing T-Latch shotgun #666, all of which predate the Charles Parker Maker and Parker Brothers Makers shotguns.
