Default BHE Repro 28 are there any ..

Wondering if any of these are out there
I have not heard of any in recent months. What is the current market value on a 20. I have see a few at high retail 12000 plus. I am not excited at that price. Thanks & best, Paul

There were at least 2 that sold on the last Rock Island Auction. One was a 12 ga for sure but I don't remember the other. Neither brought anything close to 12k. Heck, I think the A-1s only brought 10k.

Paul - Robin Hollow is advertising one for $12.5k but you have probably seen that ad.

Paul,
Per this letter from Jack Skeuse to an owner (owner's name and address has been removed) of a Parker Reproduction 28/.410 bi-gauge set, there were only seven 28-ga. BHE Repros produced.

The Production Statistics for Parker Reproductions reported in The Parker Story notes that "All BHE grade guns came from the factory as two-barrel sets, but not all were sold as two-barrel sets. Some customers just wanted one set. These extra BHE barrels were sold with other Reproduction guns or fitted to original Parker guns."

Sorry I missed your reference to 28 ga in the original post. I thought you were referring to all B's.

Parker Repro's original plan was to built 100 BHE guns in each gauge. They built 100 12s,100 20s,and as you see from the letter 7 28s.The Japanese closed the plant before the 28 gauge run was completed.

I have a set of 12 ga BHE bbls choked Q1/Q2. These are pretty to look at and work great in the field on quail. Did they make extra bbls or did some one not want a 2 bbl set?

I think that the original plan was for all BHEs to be 2 barrel sets. However, that quickly changed when the sets got split up.We even ordered one BHE 12ga.in a steel shot configuration.
