Default Sunrise in East Tennessee

The river bottom farmland in Eastern Tennessee was showing its splendor this morning. The mountain in the background is in the Cherokee National Forest. The Ocoee River flows at the back border of this alfalfa field. The “Big Twenty”, 7 lbs 8 ounces, and I were out before daybreak. The only thing missing was the turkeys. We will try another farm soon.

Nice just to sit and take it all in, eh, Reggie?

Still have 3 weeks to wait here in Ohio. Can you tell us more about the " Big Twenty", dont know if I've seen that one before.
I have a PH 20, Parker steel 28" F/F that I need to carry in the turkey woods this spring. Due to drop in the turkey population here, we can only take 1 bird this year.

Harold it is a one frame VHE 20 with 32” barrels. Straight stock w/splinter, Monte Carlo, single trigger. 2 7/8” chambers. 1925 gun that has been used considerably but is tight as can be! I have guns with much more condition but this gun has a soul! I also love the 15” LOP. Matches the letter to “T”.

That is quite a 20. Never run into one like that.

I think today and Sunday are youth Turkey days in Virginia . A friend asked me this afternoon if he could bring his son out to my place and try for a gobble bird .

Beautiful backdrop to call one in for sure. I've got some Eastern timber you're welcome to but we're gonna need to shorten them barrels. Haven't you heard, long barrels are no longer desirable to the buying public Nice configuration of a Parker, I know lot's of folks that would like to have one, myself included.

Those barrels are so long you couldn’t get them all in the picture!
What a wonderful gun.
