Default Shotgun Primers and Powder still available

Have stopped at Vances Outdoors in Obetz twice during the past two months-March and again today (after attending the Ohio Gun Collectors Meetings) and have found shotgun primers and powders for sale. Again today found Cheddite primers TX 2000 $86.00/1000 and WST powder at Vances Outdoors in Obetz near I -270 (Columbus, Ohio)
WST was $149.00 /4 lbs and $249.00 /8 lbs + Ohio tax 7.5 %??
Limit on primers was a box of 1000 per customer/day??
There were several other choices of powder including Win AA Handicap 1 lb bottles and various rifle powders (IMR, Accurate, etc.).
This company which has 3 stores in central Ohio and one near Cincinnati continues getting powder and sometimes primers in on a some what regular basis this year.

A local gun shop closer to my home is still not getting any powder or primers- when offered to them they have turned them down- because only offered a couple of lbs of powder and/or 1000 primers at a time- Haz Mat fees make it difficult for them to recover the cost on a small amount of either.

A small local shop that I frequent has had a steady but sporadic supply of powder but primers have been scarce. Last week he got a shipment of Nobelsport primers but to get them he had to buy an entire pallet. They are packaged in cartons of 10k primers and he's selling them for $595 per carton. The owner claims he can get stuff if he orders big enough -like a million bucks big. Suppliers just do not want to mess with small orders.

A few months ago he had 80 8# of Clays at $202 and 60 8# of Win WSF at an astonishing $160. Between my son and I we bought 56 pounds of WSF. He sold out in about 3 weeks.

Darn at that price I’d have bought five of the Clays for the 8 gauge . I used WSF for the 16 and 20 thirty years ago when WIN saw fit to discontinue AA473 .

Shyda's Gun Shop was selling 10K packages of Nobel primers for $500/10,000 which is a good price. They also have more shot than you can handle.

Hmmm $250 a sleeve , not bad at today’s prices until I think back a bit and was getting WIN 209’s for $145 a sleeve and at that time Cheddites were I think $120 a sleeve .
