Default Twenty Gauge 2 Barrel Set 30"

I noticed that CSMC has a 20 gauge repro with an additional 30" barrel set for sale on their website. They give no additional information on the 30" barrels but I thought someone might be interested enough to give them a call. I don't collect the reproductions but I know a lot of you do.

If they are indeed 30" long, I would have to believe they are not original Parker Reproduction barrels, but rather the aftermarket barrels supplied by CSMC years ago. There is no mention of a case in this listing:

To satisfy my curiosity, I inquired via GI about the originality of the 30" barrel set. I was informed that all stamps are as usually seen on Repros including both the left barrel legend and the S/N on the barrel flats, however; the choke stamps are missing. The listing says this 30" set is choked IMP.CYL/MOD. -- the same as the 26" set of this 2-bbl. set.

I was also informed the gun was put on hold while we were communicating.

Has anyone ever seen a Repro with original 30" barrels? All I have seen are either 26 or 28, including the 12's. That was back when shorter barrels were the rage.

There have been reports that a few 30” barrels were supplied on Repros but that may have been limited to 12 gauge guns.

John Allen owned one. Steve Barnett website has a 12 gauge that claims to be original barrels. That is all I have known of, but I don't follow repros. I haven't seen any 20 gauge guns before the one that started this thread.

Although scarce we have seen a few Repro 12ga. 30" barrel sets. In fact, three or more have been shown and/or discussed in this and the For Sale forum previously, but this is the 1st 20ga. set to surface to my knowledge.

A friend told me he acquired a 12 gauge 30” Repro last year that was a two barrel set gun , but when he bought it only had the 30” in the two barrel case . He told me he was at the vintage cup a month or so later and found a set of 12 repro barrels for sale . Low and behold they had the matching serial number . So the set is back intact now .

I know of at least one (maybe the only one) Parker Repro 12 gauge Steel Shot Special with 32" barrels.

A 12 32” would intrest me quite a bit as does a 20 30” 3” . Now a 28 30” would probably get me into buying a repro , well that is if it felt anywhere near the one VHE 28 30” I’ve had in my hands .
