Default Auction in the Motor City

Check out the auction on Friday the 13th (!) of November at Du Mouchelle's Gallery in Detroit:
http://auctiondetroit.com/#

A number of African stuffers and high-grade guns including some small bore Parkers. The collection is from Al Warren - a former GM VP. I bought one Warren gun a few years ago (a M42 Winchester), and condition was very good.

Not sure how much Du Mouchelle's knows about guns, judging from their auction estimates. Sure wish I could buy the guns for what their estimates are

John,There looks to be some outstanding guns there. But those prices look to be way off.

Prices..... look at the condition of those 20's! VHE's that look new and estimated in the $700 - $1200 range. Look at #102 for instance, I don't think its a restored gun but without accurate descriptions.........? I expect the seller is going to be pleasantly surprised.

Is anyone going to go to this; if so, please post some auction results.

It will be very interesting where some of these prices land in this economy. With it in MI, if the base of their bids are local, I think it will be on the low end. If however their base is internet driven, the sky is the limit. Oh, please don't bid on lot 88 or 89...thanks.

Word to the wise - I attended an auction at this Gallery a number of years ago, and wintessed what appeared to be some very unsavory stuff. Caveat Emptor

Look at the BHE lot #89, it's kind of odd how the hinge pin is lower than the boss that it's usually enclosed in.

Or how about the twenty gauge Winchester 21 two-barrel-set
