The Belgian-proofed barrels appear to be original, as per Mr. Semmer's book. Too bad about the crack in the wrist, though. I think it's a big Wow too Pete. Those Remington F-grade double traps/live bird guns have great lines.

The alpha lettre annale indicates the barrels were proved in 1948 It doesn't look like an 'a' which would be 1922. The Crown over D is the mark of Jean-Baptiste Delcour-Dupont/Canons Delcour S.A. (barrel production) of Nessonvaux. The entire gun must have gone to Belgium for fitting the replacement barrels.

I still very much enjoy the engraving on this gun, great pictures of it with lots of detail. I read the Semmer photo caption too quickly and thought the Belgian Barrels were factory. What a shame if the owner did not trust the original damascus barrels and had them replaced. I guess that was the thinking back in those days. Recoil pad and crack can be fixed but not the barrels. Still it is one of 17 EE grade guns, if that is correct what grade Parker is that scarce? Not far from being the equavilent of a Belgian barreled Invincible and a lot less expensive. The engraving is still a Wow!

I guess buyers have lost interest. I guess the $9000 guy will be making an offer a bit below the reserve.
